A school board manages hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. In Park Hill, our salary expenditures are skyrocketing while our student population is not. As a tax professional with 10+ years of experience, I know how to dig into these budgets, find the administrative bloat, and ensure every dollar is maximizing its educational return on investment in the classroom.
I'm running against long-time board member Janice Bolin. She has been on the board since 2008. Check for a campaign website, Facebook page, or even a candidate survey...there is nothing. What does she stand for? I can only assume she likes adminstrative bloat since she has watch our budget bloat over the last 18 years.
Then there is Alexia Norris. She was appointed by the board last year when a board member stepped down. Her only campaign messaging is a Facebook page where she just reposts whatever the PSHD page posts. I can only guess from that, she will be another rubber stamp for the district.
Lastly, there is Deanna Muñoz. Unlike the other 2, she actually has a campaign website. However her only adgenda appears to be more DEIB programs that will cost the district money and add zero value to students or tax payers.
As for myself, my positions are clear and all over my website and social media pages. Even if we don't agree on every topic, at least you know where I stand on it. That is more than I can say for the others.
